Itsbot is an AI-powered chat agent that helps businesses interact with users, answer queries, and automate workflows through conversational experiences.- One of Itsbot’s supported features is appointment scheduling. When this feature is enabled, the user can connect Itsbot with their Zoom account to automatically create Zoom meeting links for scheduled appointments.
How the Zoom Integration Works
1. When booking through Itsbot
- A user books an appointment through the Itsbot chat agent.
2. Upon confirmation
- Creates a Zoom meeting on behalf of the connected Zoom user.
- Generates a unique Zoom meeting link.
3. Meeting link shared with
- The appointment owner.
- All invited participants (joinees).
- Zoom meetings are created only when an appointment is explicitly booked using the chat agent.
Permissions Requested and Purpose
1. Zoom permissions
- Enable Zoom App within Zoom Meeting Client: Allows Itsbot to operate within the Zoom ecosystem.
- View a Meeting: Used to access basic information about Zoom meetings created via Itsbot.
- Create a Meeting for a User: Required to generate Zoom meeting links for scheduled appointments.
- View a User: Used to associate the meeting with the correct Zoom user account.
- Calendar Access: May include access to calendar information related to Zoom meetings and webinars created through Itsbot, only for scheduling and meeting creation purposes.
- Itsbot does not access or modify unrelated meetings, user data, or calendar entries.
Data Usage and Privacy
1. Data handling
- Data is used solely to support chat interactions and enabled features such as appointment scheduling.
- Zoom data is accessed only when required for meeting creation.
- Itsbot does not sell or share Zoom user data with third parties.
Disconnecting Zoom from Itsbot
1. Steps to Disconnect
- Log in to your Itsbot account.
- Navigate to Lead Management > Meeting and Slot Manager > Setup Meeting Platform.
- Click Disconnect Zoom.
2. After disconnection
- No new Zoom meetings will be created.
- All Zoom permissions granted to Itsbot are revoked.
- Existing meetings remain unchanged.
Removing the App from Zoom
1. Remove from Zoom
- Open Zoom App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage → Installed Apps.
- Select Itsbot.
- Click Remove.
